We like to keep the main house area clean (no mess) - I also provide cleaning service throughout the main part of the house and bathrooms every 4 days.
You will have your own parking space in the driveway, and no one will park behind you
There is a place for bike/motorcycle/scooter parking also
The house is located close to 102nd ave and Sw 24th st (coral way).
We are walking and biking distance to FIU (south) university, 1 mile to Publix grocery store, 1 mile to a gym, and 1 mile to a large strip mall/shopping center with most everything you could need. We are 4 min walk to a bus stop also. A soccer/football field and tennis court is 1 mile away.
So this is great for college students with no car.
We are young college students at FIU or young working professionals, 20-27 years old, half girls and half guys.
Everyone is fun, cool, and friendly here, and we are all respectful of each other's space and possessions. We are fairly quiet most of the time, however occasionally on the weekends people may stay up later socializing or come in late from the clubs/bars.
We are all on a different schedule, so you rarely ever have to wait to use a bathroom or the kitchen, etc.
This is not your average roommate environment - it is much better. Everyone gets along great here. This is due to the fact that we are awesome....and that is because we screen our roommates carefully and if occasionally it is clear someone isn't fitting or causing problems he/she is asked to move.
The other reason this is such a great environment is because I take care of all the typical roommate issues - I pay the bills, I buy all the necessary household items like toilet paper and cleaning supplies, I take care of the house cleaning, I take care of the trash, I take care of the house repairs and yard work, etc. All you have to worry about is your part of the rent each month. If someone doesn't pay, I handle it. Your finances and credit are not affected by the other roommates. So there is very little to ever argue about. I'm also here to help with any personal issues that might arise between roommates.
Consequently this is a very fun place to live. We have some very entertaining people here, and there is always someone to talk to and hangout with. We have a fairly large social circle also, so many of the roommates save a lot of money by not having to go out to bars/clubs in order to have a good time or meet other girls/guys.
We are always doing something fun and having a great time like beach trips and "family dinner night".
If you are moving to Miami from out of town, this is a great way to network, meet new people, and make new friends to go out with and enjoy this great city.
We are picky on who we have as roommates. We will usually get a number of people wanting to move in, and we have to interview and select who will be the best fit for the house. This way we keep a great people in the house and have few issues.
I spend significant time finding the right roommate. We don't take just anyone, and it's not first come first serve. Thus I may have vacancies that are longer than normal, and thus to still be able to pay the bills rent is slightly higher. However all the roommates still consider this to be a good deal, as a fun and positive environment is well worth a little extra cost.
We are looking for someone in the 19 to 29 age range, who is friendly and fun, but also respectful of people, and responsible. Great social skills and an outgoing personality is a plus as well.
You must be clean in the common areas (clean kitchen/wash dishes after using it).
No drugs or [removed], Alcohol is no problem and smoking cigarettes outside in the covered terrace hangout area is fine.
