This post if for a bedroom in spacious East Williamsburg / Bushwick loft, located directly next to the Morgan L subway stop.
This room is available on a month-to-month basis:
- Move-in requires First & Last month's rent plus One month's deposit ($3,000 total). This is not negotiable.
- Move-out requires notice be given to us 30 days before the 1st of the month of move-out.
- Utilities are not included in rent and run around $100/month, varying by season.
The room available is a little on the small side, but luckily our last roommate and his considerable carpentry skills built this room out really well. The room now houses a full-size built-in mattress frame with large storage space below (new mattress potentially included). The room also has a series of shelves and built-in closet space. In addition to the room itself, there are also 3 storage spaces in the apartment, making it easy to stay clutter free.
The Building/Neighborhood: Our building's located in the heart of what is a vibrant artsy neighborhood. The area is very safe and the people are always interesting. Within a two block radius you can find boutique grocers, numerous bars, a gym, art galleries, Japanese restaurant, liquor store, tons of street art, a small city park with basketball courts, benches, and children's playground, numerous coffee shops, the infamous Mckibbin lofts, the world famous Roberta's, and even more to discover.
The building's roof provides a peaceful sanctuary with spectacular views of the city and the basement houses laundry machines and bicycle storage. It's also worth mentioning that we have one of the few apartments in the building with an unobstructed view of Manhattan. I often catch myself lost in the skyline and occasionally even catch the Empire State Building powering down its lights at 2am.
There are 3 of us currently living here, one guy and two lovely ladies. Each of us has lived together for over a year and have established great friendships. Our culture is pretty simple. Everyone is friendly, respectful and tidy. Our main goal is to find someone who'll love and appreciate the apartment and neighborhood as much as we do.
We all work pretty standard hours during the week and wish to find a new roommate who also has a steady day-time work schedule. Ideally we're looking for a male roommate, gay or straight, to keep the balance of our 2 male/2 female environment, thought, at the same time, we're open to anything compelling.
Whenever we get the chance, it's always great hanging in our large living space, family style, with our projector and pool table. Together we've established a pretty great network of friends in the building and surrounding area who we occasionally host on the weekends. But, for the most part, our place is very peaceful.
I think that's just about all the details needed up front. Other terms... 420-friendly, no cigarette smoking inside... and sorry, no pets please.
